As a surf instructor who appreciates the finer details in accommodation like free Wi-Fi in public areas, air conditioning, and a sun terrace to relax after a day on the waves, Casa do Fontão exceeded my expectations. The warm welcome with a glass of wine and local cheeses immediately made me feel at home. The cozy room with its comfortable bed and modern bathroom provided a much-needed retreat from the Portuguese winter weather. The generous breakfast spread in the charming old-style living room was a delightful start to each day.In the tranquil corner of Amarante, this casa offered a peaceful setting for relaxation and exploring the surroundings. The exceptional hospitality of the hostess, coupled with the stunning views from the garden and veranda, made for a truly memorable stay. I cannot recommend this hidden gem highly enough.
